A compass is an essential tool for your outdoor survival. Whether it’s a large full scale one or a small button one, you must have one. This is a full scale liquid filled one with added features.
The Mil-Tec mirror compass comes with a protective lid and a map magnifier. The side scales come either Metric or Inches. The scale can be found in 1:50000 and 1:25000.
In addition, it comes with luminous points for night use , to see exactly where everything in the dark without direction. The North, bears yet extra processing, so it glows even more.
The base plate is connected to the reflecting mirror. The mirror enables you to set the direction more accurately, it also enables precise use of inclinometer.
To use it, face forward, take out one of the landmark towards which you want to pass. Hold the compass so that it points in the same direction as that in which your destination is and where you want to traipse. Turn the direction of the periphery so that the patterned arrow pointing in the same direction as the red end of the compass. This is a good start. Now you always know that when the red arrow and the compass needle is in precise alignment, you have the same direction as when you start.
