A pair of gloves provides warmth to your hands, but sometimes it is not enough. A Fluid Hand Warmer is a safe, more drastic and immediate solution.
The handwarmers contain a velvet metal case which is fully lined with non-flammable glass wool. A charcoal stick then lit and put inside in the case where it will give generous heat for over 5 hours.
This is a safe and productive source of heat that can be taken in a mountain expedition, hunting trip or just a walk in the urban jungle on a winter day. It can be used to dry gloves and shoes as well.
Open the warmer and grab a fuel stick. Light the fuel stick and let it burn the first 1 cm, then blow out. Put the stick in the warmer. Keep the warmer closed for the first 30 minutes. It will provide warmth for about 5 hours.
If the temperature rises too high, cool down the warmer in open air.
You may control the warming time by shortening the fuel stick.
When the stick is burnt down, open the warmer and remove the ashes.
